🔻The rapid advance by the Houthis in Yemen; the war with Iran is entering a new and dangerous stage

🔻It appears that the lightning-fast advance by the Houthis in parts of the southern Tihamah region, Yemen’s dry coastal plain, has caught many observers off guard.

Until just recently, the so-called anti-Houthi coalition called “National Resistance” held significant parts of Yemen’s Red Sea coasts. But within only a few days, a large portion of these areas has come under Houthi control.

According to some estimates, Houthi forces have taken control of up to 130 kilometers of Yemen’s strategic coastline along the Red Sea.

This advance is considered the most impressive military achievement by the Houthis in recent years and shows that despite 12 years of civil war, devastating air attacks by Saudi Arabia, as well as attacks by American, Israeli, and British forces, the Houthis are still a force that cannot be ignored.

Given that the Houthis’ rivals have been caught off guard and weakened, it seems unlikely that this group will be pushed back from these areas at least in the near future.
