Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson said diplomacy is the only way out of the current regional crisis and has no alternative.

Majed Al Ansari told Al Jazeera: “We believe in diplomacy and we cannot allow it to fail.” He added that Qatar has engaged with all parties involved in this war, “even though Qatar itself was targeted during the war, but this did not cause us to move away from diplomacy or abandon our mediating role.”

Al Ansari said the consequences of the conflict with the Islamic Republic and the war in Gaza are felt at the international level and these effects are increasing. According to him, Qatar has cooperated with Pakistan, Oman and other countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to reach a diplomatic solution.
