Pyongyang will not discuss military sovereignty issues with Seoul and rules out any possibility of talks on the borderline's demarcation, Kim Yo Jong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, said.

“The DPRK will under no circumstances discuss issues of military sovereignty with an enemy state. We do not define our borders through negotiations. We rather establish the boundaries of our sovereignty through the full exercise of our sovereign rights, that is, through the use of force,” she stressed.

She slammed Seoul’s proposal to hold talks on establishing a military demarcation line as “an illusion unworthy of a response and unilateral whining.” She also once again rejected South Korea’s demand that North Korea apologize for a recent incident where a landmine exploded.
