Prince Reza Pahlavi, at the Concordia Summit on September 22, called for Western countries to change their approach toward the Islamic Republic and said they should make the Iranian people the focus of their policy rather than continuing negotiations with the government.

Referring to the Islamic Republic’s policies in the region, proxy groups, nuclear threats, “terrorism,” and the spread of extremism, he said these are the consequences of establishing this government, and that Western countries should not expect a change in its behavior.

Prince Reza Pahlavi said that the Iranian people want freedom, equality, democracy, freedom of religion, and peaceful coexistence, and that there is no need for the presence of American forces or the use of American taxpayers’ money to support change in Iran.

He suggested that Iran’s frozen assets be used to support campaigns related to the Iranian people, and said more than $100 billion of these assets has been frozen.

Prince Reza Pahlavi also said that the removal of the Islamic Republic could make it possible to change Iran’s relations with the countries in the region, and added that his commitment to Iran and Iranians will continue.
