🔶 Pezeshkian: Exports fell by 35% and inflation reached 66%

Masoud Pezeshkian, president of Iran, on Friday, 6 Shahrivar (28 August), said in a televised special interview that as a result of U.S. sanctions and the maritime blockade of Iran’s ports, the country’s exports have fallen by nearly 35%.

The Iranian president also said that at the same time, the pressure of war and sanctions on Iran’s economy has increased, and the annual inflation rate in the past month reached 66%.

The economic situation has caused great concern among the rulers of the Islamic Republic. In a message attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, the government was asked to deal with economic problems.
