Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, while condemning the Houthi threats against Saudi Arabia and commercial ships in the Red Sea, said that these actions endanger regional stability and the security of vital shipping routes.
In a statement from Islamabad, it said that threats to commercial vessels and ships operating in the framework of legal trade with Saudi Arabia are contrary to international law and unacceptable.
Pakistan also warned that any action against ships flying the flag of this country or its maritime interests would be considered a direct threat to Pakistan’s security and sovereignty, and that it has the right to protect its interests within the framework of international laws and the principle of self-defense.
In the end, Islamabad, while expressing support for the security and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, emphasized the need for dialogue, de-escalation of tensions, and ensuring the security of international shipping.
