On the sidelines of an Iranian protest rally condemning executions outside the Office for the Protection of Interests of the Islamic Republic, Siamak Aram, the organizer of the rally, told Ardan Bovah, a journalist with Iran International, that the Islamic Republic, in different periods and at the same time as protests by guilds and across the country, has used executions and state killings to intimidate society and prevent the spread of protests.

He added that the government, above all, is concerned about an internal crisis and the formation of street protests, and for this reason, by continuing executions, it seeks to create fear and terror among families and society.
