🔸On the morning of Thursday, the 8th of Mordad, and following the bombing of several positions in southern Iran by the U.S. Army, CENTCOM announced the end of this round of attacks and published the following message: “At 10 p.m. on July 29, Eastern U.S. time, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully brought to an end a heavy wave of attacks on Iran in response to the unsuccessful missile attacks from the previous day against U.S. forces.

🔸CENTCOM’s equipment and forces targeted dozens of sites belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense positions, and naval capabilities.

🔸The purpose of these attacks was to further reduce the threats posed by Iran and its proxy forces against U.S. forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf.

🔸On July 28, IRGC forces launched several ballistic missiles from Iranian territory as part of an attempt to carry out a surprise attack on U.S. forces stationed in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted.

🔸At present, more than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are deployed in the Middle East.
