Oil prices fell by more than one dollar per barrel on Tuesday.

Brent futures contracts dropped by $1.47 to $86.89, while West Texas Intermediate oil fell by $1.45 to $81.16. As a result, both indices reached their lowest levels since Tir 29.

Both indexes had fallen by about 8% on Monday and after the United States halted air attacks on the Islamic Republic.

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, said on Monday that talks with the Islamic Republic were “going well,” but added that air attacks would resume if the negotiations fail.
