🔶 Netanyahu: Israel will become one of the world’s leading powers in naval warfare

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, said during a visit to the Israeli Navy base in Ashdod that Israel will expand its naval capabilities.

At the same time, he warned that threats to this country’s maritime domain have increased.

Netanyahu also, in a video in Hebrew published by his office, referring to recent threats by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Houthis in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-el-Mandeb, said that the maritime domain has turned into “an international battlefield.”

During his visit to this base, which was carried out together with Israel Katz, the defense minister of the country, the Israeli prime minister said: “Our enemies want to threaten our maritime domain in the Mediterranean Sea, our seaports, and maritime traffic. It is clear that we will not allow that to happen.”
