Najat Bahrami, a political analyst, said the Islamic Republic’s actions, including expanding the scope of the war to Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea and activating the Houthis, are a dangerous gamble for this government.
He added that this risk acts like a double-edged sword and, in his view, ultimately its consequences will be to the disadvantage of the Islamic Republic.
Bahrami said this gamble, like past experiences, gradually changes Donald Trump’s outlook and that of the U.S. government, and it could lead to policies that, according to him, would finish the job for the Islamic Republic.
