Mourad Vaisi, senior analyst at Iran International, said: “The target of a possible US attack is to stop the Guards (IRGC) attacks on ships and on America’s allied countries in the region, and to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz. This attack could also be carried out with the aim of broadly weakening the IRGC’s missile, drone, and military infrastructure—especially in coastal areas and deep bases.”
