Mostafa Kazemian, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, said about the possibility of Masoud Pezeshkian’s resignation that Pezeshkian has been one of the weakest presidents of the Islamic Republic, and after the war, once power was taken up by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, his authority was reduced even further.
According to him, Pezeshkian not only failed to carry out his promises, but during his presidency one of the darkest and most unprecedented massacres in Iran’s contemporary history took place. Even government polls show that more than half of the voters who voted for Pezeshkian have turned away from him.
