📸 More than 24 hours in the sky; Airbus A350 carried out a record-breaking flight

The Airbus A350 aircraft, which has been modified for very long-haul flights, landed in France on Tuesday, July 28 (6 Mordad), after 24 hours and 24 minutes of flight.

The test flight began in Melbourne, Australia, and after covering 23,076 kilometers, ended in Toulouse, France. Qantas intends to use this aircraft for nonstop flights to Europe starting next year.

Qantas plans to operate nonstop flights between Sydney and London in both directions from October 2027. In the next phase, nonstop flights from Sydney to New York will also be added to this program.

The airline has purchased a total of 12 A350-1000ULR aircraft. The letters ULR stand for Ultra Long Range, meaning “ultra-long range.” Installing an additional fuel tank with a capacity of 20,000 liters makes these record-breaking flights possible.
