🔶 Mojtaba Khamenei: Iran will not go back to the past
Mojtaba Khamenei, in a new statement, by comparing Iran’s current situation with the period before the Iranian Revolution and the Iran–Iraq war, said that the Islamic Republic will not return to the past and that Iran is now in a position, according to him, in which its enemies are unable to impose their will.
At the beginning of this text, which is attributed to Khamenei, he referred to the historical memory of Iranians regarding the nationalization of the oil industry and the U.S.-backed coup.
He wrote that some people in Iran in the early years of the Revolution still had in their minds the memories of “more than a couple of decades ago”; a period that, according to him, was accompanied by “the malice of the colonialists,” the nationalization of the oil industry, and the coup by the United States.
In another part of his text, he compared the current situation in southern Iran with the past and said that at that time “the two southern seas of Iran” were the playground of enemy forces.
Khamenei claimed that today these forces, due to “painful blows” delivered by the fighters and guards of the Strait of Hormuz, do not move ahead of the Arabian Sea. He also wrote: “It is soon for the Arabian Sea to empty itself of them.”
