🔸Mohsen Amiryousefi, Iranian film director-writer and producer, in a video message that was shown to viewers before the screening of his latest work “The Curse of Seizure” at the 70th edition of the London Film Festival, dedicated his film to the victims of the protests of Dey 1404.

🔸Amiryousefi, who was unable to attend the first global screening of “The Curse of Seizure” due to the formation of a judicial case, criticized censorship in the Islamic Republic and said that he is happy about the first global screening of his film, but at the same time he is saddened because he knows that censorship and seizure neither allow this film to be screened in Iran, nor does the regime tolerate the making of a film without a permit.

🔸He said that “The Curse of Seizure” is the story of a country and people who have endured years of seizure, repression, social pressures and the suffering of war, but still, with determination, try to reach a peaceful life and freedom that they deserve, and in this way they fight and pay the cost.

🔸Mohsen Amiryousefi dedicated the screening of “The Curse of Seizure” to the victims of Dey and asked the audience to observe moments of silence in memory of the thousands of people killed in the Dey protests.
