Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament, speaking to a number of Hashd al-Shaabi members and commanders in Iraq, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq defeated the United States in the 40-day war, and that if “aggression and threats” continue, they will stand again against this country.

Qalibaf made the remarks at the grave of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the former Hashd al-Shaabi commander, and said that the link between the Islamic Republic and Iraq is “inseverable,” and their confrontation with the United States will continue.

He said: “Just as Iraq and Iran, during the Ramadan War, ground America’s nose into the ground and made it taste the bitter flavor of defeat, they will stand again against arrogance.”
