🔸Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, threatened the United States and the countries of the region in a public and video session of Parliament on Tuesday, the 7th of Mehr, saying they would attack infrastructure and oil tankers.
🔸This comes as, on Tuesday, the Islamic Republic is waiting for the U.S. to provide an official response to Tehran’s proposals, which Donald Trump had previously said he rejected.
🔸Qalibaf said: “In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil, and if our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe.”
🔸The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly also called Donald Trump’s positions against the Islamic Republic during the United Nations General Assembly “reckless” and told him: “Turn around so that I can turn around.”
🔸The Khorasan daily, close to Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, also wrote: “If the negotiations do not reach a result due to nuclear differences, the Islamic Republic will have the opportunity to use its second map to carry out preemptive attacks and impose a period of high-pressure war on Trump before the end of the midterm elections.”
🔸A number of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly have also threatened other countries with attacks by the Islamic Republic.
