The disciplinary board of Iran’s Ministry of Science has upheld the expulsion order for “AmirMohammad Karimi” and “Mehiyar Eftekhari,” two University of Tehran students who had been accused of “burning the country’s flag” during student protests.

IranWire had previously reported on 4 Tir 1405 that these two students were facing an expulsion sentence from the “disciplinary committee of the University of Tehran” on a similar charge. In the same report, it was also announced that an expulsion sentence had been issued for “AmirMohammad Surmeh,” a student at Amirkabir University of Technology, on the charge of “insulting the flag of the Islamic Republic.”
