Masoud Pezeshkian, on the first of Shahrivar (Sunday), at the burial site of Ruhollah Khomeini, said that the Islamic Republic is in a “full-scale economic, military and security war,” and, referring to the existing problems, added: “In the face of these hardships that exist, we are ashamed.”

Pezeshkian, regarding the Islamabad agreement, said that this memorandum was the result of an “expert consensus” by those who were involved in the issues, adding that those who, in the war, “did not bow their heads in the face of the enemy” reached the conclusion that reaching an understanding is consistent with “wisdom, expediency, and dignity.”

He emphasized: “When we decided and reached an agreement, everyone must stand behind it and carry it out.” Pezeshkian added that violating the decision after obtaining an understanding would destabilize the Islamic Republic’s path.

Pezeshkian also said that those who attacked Iran thought the country would “turn into Venezuela,” but “the world was astonished by our power.”
