Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the government of the Islamic Republic, in his televised interview that was released on Friday evening, said: “I have never resigned. If I were to resign, I would announce it officially.”

Pezeshkian also said: “I will stand firm and tell the people about the obstruction.”

He also said, regarding regional relations, that relations of the Islamic Republic with its neighbors have improved, but inside the country there are challenges due to differences in views in this regard.

Pezeshkian said about the activation of the snapback mechanism that this action was carried out by European countries and had nothing to do with Donald Trump, the president of the United States.

He added that the Islamic Republic, with coordination with the Leader, reached an agreement in New York with Emmanuel Macron, president of France, but that in the end European countries activated the snapback mechanism.
