🔶 Masoud Pezeshkian Arrives in New York to Attend a UN Meeting

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, who had traveled to the United States to attend the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly, arrived in New York.

According to announcements by government-linked news agencies, including Fars News Agency affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Pezeshkian is scheduled to, during his speech at the UN General Assembly, hold meetings and consultations with several heads of state and officials of countries participating in the session.

Pezeshkian’s speech at the General Assembly has been planned for Wednesday, 1 Mehr, according to New York time.

Before leaving Tehran, the head of the government of the Islamic Republic had said that on this trip, he would present the positions of the Islamic Republic and the “demands of the Iranian people” in international forums and would “defend the country’s positions.”

According to a report by Fars News Agency, on the trip to New York, six people—including Mohsen Hajimirzaei, the head of the president’s office, and Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi, the official responsible for protocol at the president’s office—are accompanying Pezeshkian.
