🔸Masoud Delpasand, a barista and café-keeping instructor, announced the sealing of Vanc Park cafés in Tehran by posting a video.

🔸In this video, by referring to unfavorable economic conditions in Iran, he says that the sealing of Vanc Park cafés has “deprived at least 200 people of jobs and income.”

🔸After publishing this video and objecting to the cafés being sealed, on Wednesday he wrote, by posting a story on his Instagram account, that “there was no intention to incite or protest” and that “every café that has been sealed must certainly have had a health problem.”

🔸He, who appears to have been compelled to publish this story, also used the government’s wording to add that every page that posts this video “is an enemy and a dissident,” and that it published it for “guiding and misuse.”

🔸In recent days, a new wave of sealing cafés and businesses has started under the pretext of not observing “compulsory hijab,” and it has brought with it criticism.
