🔻Major TV networks in the United States announced that they will stop their joint news coverage from the White House in protest of the Trump administration’s decision to ban the activities of three media outlets.

Five television networks—CNN, CBS, ABC, Fox, and NBC—which are responsible for video coverage of U.S. presidential news, said in a joint statement announcing this boycott: “It is a fundamental right of the public to receive accurate and independent information about its own government. No government should restrict a news organization simply because it disagrees with its reporting.”

CNN is one of these five news outlets that produces dedicated video reporting of U.S. presidential events and provides the images in the form of “press pool” to other media outlets, including the three outlets whose reporters were not allowed into the White House starting on Saturday.
