Lockheed Martin has completed its first operational and integrated test of its Kodiak launch system at the Yakima Training Center in the U.S. state of Washington. The company successfully loaded and fired a limited-range training rocket in this system less than six months after its initial tests.

The Kodiak system can hold up to 12 GMLRS rockets in a standard transport container and supports a broader family of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), including ATACMS and PrSM.

Designed to be deployable by air, land, or sea, the system is intended to enable precise firing from dispersed locations using a high-cover platform with hard-to-detect capabilities.
