Leila Moroti, a political analyst, told Iran International that the U.S. government has intensified the economic war against the Islamic Republic alongside military pressure; from pressure on the Strait of Hormuz and oil exports to sanctions on networks and institutions linked to the government and limiting Iran’s access to Russian and Chinese weaponry.
According to her, the intensification of economic pressures and the increase in costs stemming from disruptions to oil exports could push the Islamic Republic toward negotiations more than ever before.
