Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea. In a statement, the ministry called the attack on the Saudi vessel “NCC/NC C Masa” an explicit violation of international law and a direct threat to the security and freedom of navigation and the safety of international trade.
Kuwait announced its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and said it supports all of the country’s actions to protect its sovereignty, security, and interests.
According to a report by Saudi Arabia’s official news agency, citing the General Authority of Transport, on Friday “NCC/NC C Masa” was targeted while transiting through the Red Sea and its hull sustained minor damage.
In recent days, Iran-backed Houthis have carried out multiple attacks on Saudi Arabia and disrupted the passage of ships in the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
