🔶 Krista Pike Left the Hospital After the Failed Execution Order

Krista Pike, a woman convicted of murder and awaiting execution in the U.S. state of Tennessee, was transferred to a hospital in critical condition about a week and a half after the unsuccessful execution of her sentence, but she has since left after initial medical treatment.

Her lawyers said that Pike has been returned to prison. According to them, she will continue to receive medical care while in detention.

On September 30, Pike survived the attempt to carry out the execution. After two failed injections of the execution drug, she was taken in a critical condition to a hospital in the city of Nashville. Her lawyers initially suggested that she might have suffered brain death.

Following the incident, the governor of the state of Tennessee ordered the suspension of other executions scheduled for this year.
