Kayhan newspaper, which is published under the supervision of the Representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, wrote that the interests and facilities of the United States and NATO in Europe—including in the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, Romania, and Cyprus—could become targets of Islamic Republic missiles again in the event of war.

Referring to Majtaba Khamenei’s order for a military response “without geographical limits,” Kayhan wrote that the range of other possible targets is not limited to U.S. bases in the Middle East and could extend to the “heart of Europe.”

The newspaper added that the Islamic Republic’s missiles have the capability to target NATO bases at a distance of four to five thousand kilometers.

Kayhan further wrote: “If the aggressors do not choose the solution of diplomacy and the acceptance of Iran’s reasonable conditions, the geography of the battlefield will expand to the heart of Europe and into the depth of trans-regional bases, and this time the retaliatory fire will reduce all the calculations of imperialism to ashes.”
