🔶 Judiciary says it has carried out the execution sentence of Mehdi Khanki

The Judiciary of the Islamic Republic announced that the death sentence of Mehdi Khanki, one of those detained during the protests of Dey 1404, was carried out after it was approved by the Supreme Court.

Mizan news agency, affiliated with the Judiciary, described Mehdi Khanki on Wednesday morning, 31 Tir (22 July) as “an active element of a terrorist group,” and claimed that he played a role in the protests of Dey, which Islamic Republic officials refer to as the “American-Zionist coup.” The report did not mention the name of the alleged group.

According to the Judiciary, at the time of Mehdi Khanki’s arrest on 21 Bahman 1404 in Karaj, officers discovered five handguns, ammunition, homemade grenades, explosive remote controls, explosive materials, and related equipment at his home.

The Islamic Republic’s judicial authority claims that Khanki, since 1402, had cooperated with one of the groups opposed to the Islamic Republic and had received training in making explosive materials.
