🔸 Judiciary’s response to Abbas Araqchi’s reference to “security gaps” in the government

Asghar Jahangir, the spokesperson for Iran’s Judiciary, in response to Abbas Araqchi’s recent remarks about “security gaps” in the government—remarks that, according to him, led to the bombing of the former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic—said that if he has information in this regard, he should provide it to the judicial authorities.

Jahangir said on Monday, 19 Mordad, in an interview with the news website “Dideban Iran”: “First, we must ask him where he knows it from, and if he has information in this regard, it is necessary that he provides it to the information, security, and judicial authorities.”

According to him, other individuals should also follow the same procedure if they have information, so that the Judiciary can take it up.

Jahangir, emphasizing that the Office of the Prosecutor must also carry out its duty, added: “Certainly, if a person makes remarks that require examination and judicial follow-up, the Prosecutor’s Office also takes the necessary steps in accordance with its legal duties.”
