Jordan’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, in a telephone call with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, strongly condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and emphasized Jordan’s support for Riyadh’s actions to protect the security, stability, sovereignty, and citizens of this country.
Ayman Safadi, in a conversation with Faisal bin Farhan, strongly condemned the rebel Houthis’ efforts to target Mecca and Medina, as well as their ongoing attacks on civilian and economic facilities.
He also once again emphasized Jordan’s support for Yemen’s legitimate government and called for a solution to the Yemen crisis that would restore security and stability to the country.
The foreign ministers of Jordan and Saudi Arabia also discussed regional developments and ongoing efforts to end the dangerous escalation of tensions in the region, and announced their support for these efforts to establish security and lasting stability.
In recent days, the Houthis have claimed responsibility for the attack on Aramco facilities in Riyadh and the Khurais region, as well as on Abha and Riyadh airports.
