🔻JD Vance, Donald Trump’s vice president, said in an exclusive interview with the «New York Post» that the United States’ war with Iran in the coming months will enter a «much different stage».
Mr. Vance agrees with Donald Trump’s remarks that the war would end immediately after the U.S. midterm election.
On Monday, in remarks made during a discussion on the plane, he said that the Islamic Republic will continue to «lose its grip on the Strait of Hormuz until the election».
Mr. Vance said: «We can’t predict the future, but I think the president is right to say that this story will enter a very different phase within the next few months.»
«He (Donald Trump) is also the commander-in-chief; so he is the one who determines… when the fighting begins and when it ends.»
The U.S. vice president also added: «I certainly understand that people in the United States are, to some extent, fed up, but what is essentially happening right now is that the United States is not engaged in offensive operations; we really don’t do that.»
