Jamsheed Barzegar, a journalist and political analyst, said that the United States prefers, under current conditions, both to continue the passage of oil through the Strait of Hormuz and to keep energy prices under control, and also to maintain the naval blockade of the Islamic Republic.
He added that the Islamic Republic is strongly objecting to this situation, and if these conditions continue, it may resort to harassment measures to increase pressure on the energy market and the U.S. government; although not at a level that would lead to a full-scale war.
