⚡Jack Keane, a U.S. retired general, told Fox News on Friday that the deployment of the third U.S. aircraft carrier to the region would mean that the likely start of renewed military clashes with the Islamic Republic would be shorter in length in advance, but much more severe, and would be unlike anything seen in the past.

He said the United States and Israel have always expected that the Islamic Republic would escalate tensions before the upcoming elections facing the United States and Israel, and that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, had also not previously ruled out the option of more military action against the Islamic Republic.

He added that U.S. intelligence has monitored whatever the Islamic Republic has done since the ceasefire, and that U.S. military action would be devastating.

He also raised the notion that U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies (the CIA and Mossad) are working to weaken and break the Islamic Republic, and that they work with groups that stand against the regime.
