The Israeli prime minister said that an attack by the United States or Israel on the Islamic Republic in the coming days, and before elections in this country, is not in the best interest.
On 22 Mehr, Benjamin Netanyahu told Israel Army Radio that “in my view, this is not suitable for us.” At the same time, he noted that despite achieving 90 percent of the war’s goals, there are still things left to do.
The Israeli prime minister also stated that within the next two years, both Hamas and Hezbollah will be destroyed, and the Islamic Republic will also be overthrown.
His remarks came a day after a report by Israel’s private Channel 12. On 21 Mehr, the network reported that Netanyahu asked U.S. President Donald Trump to restart the war against the Islamic Republic before Israel’s parliamentary elections on 5 Aban and the U.S. midterm elections a week later. The office of the Israeli prime minister denied the report.
