🔻Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says it is still too early to determine Iran’s possible role in the attack on the Dubai–Tel Aviv flight.

The attack happened on Wednesday, when one of the Flydubai pilots stabbed another pilot with a knife and attempted to take control of the aircraft.

The plane began to descend to a low altitude about two hours after takeoff, at around 5,200 meters. Passengers and crew ultimately restrained the attacker and regained control of the aircraft. The plane then landed in Saudi Arabia without incident.

Smith Macchachar, the Indian pilot who was stabbed in the incident, is in hospital and his condition has been reported as stable. Netanyahu referred to him as a “true hero.”

In response to the question of whether there are currently signs of Iran’s involvement, the Israeli prime minister said: “It is still too early,” adding that the attacker is now being questioned in Saudi Arabia.
