Israel’s Channel 12, citing White House officials, reported that Hamas may soon agree to a phased disarmament plan backed by the United States, with the pressure of Turkey and Qatar.

Ben Sabti, a researcher on Iran and Israel, said that Israel does not trust Hamas’s intentions as well as the countries behind this plan. He added that it is unlikely that the Islamic Republic would agree to even the Qatar and Turkey plan, because its interests lie in expanding the fronts of conflict against Israel, increasing tension, and creating instability in the region.
