🔶 Israel’s admission of shooting at a Palestinian girl’s vehicle

The Israeli army has said that its forces fired at a vehicle that was transporting Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian child, in Gaza in 2024.

As reported by Agence France-Presse, on Wednesday (August 19) Farvardin 28, the Israeli army announced that it had ordered the launch of criminal investigations into the incident.

The family vehicle of this Palestinian child—on which she was also riding—was targeted by Israeli forces in January 2024.

Hind Rajab’s body was found in Gaza City a few days after her last desperate contact with the Palestinian Red Crescent, which lasted for hours.

The Israeli army had previously denied the presence of its forces in the area near the site of the incident.

On Wednesday, the Israeli army said: “After reviewing the findings and, in light of alleged violations in the coordination of the movement of the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance, we decided to initiate criminal investigations into this incident by the military police’s criminal investigations unit.”
