Israel killed at least five Palestinians, including four women, in a strike on an apartment building in Gaza city on Saturday, according to health and civil defense service officials.

Since the US-brokered ceasefire was called in October 2025, Israeli forces have killed over 1,400 people, according to Gaza's Health Ministry, whose figures the UN deems reliable.

Israel, which says Hamas has been rearming and launching attacks in violation of the ceasefire, has stepped up strikes on the group in recent weeks.
