Israel is rethinking its public hostility toward Tom Barak, the U.S. envoy, after he called the airstrike on Abu Dahedeer “unnecessary escalation.”

A senior Israeli diplomatic source:

“Barak may not be perfect for us, but he’s Trump’s man and has a long-standing relationship with him.

He will not be replaced.

Instead of fighting this, we should turn the situation to our advantage.

Barak shouldn’t be a problem, but a solution.

This retooling may stem from Netanyahu’s desire to secure Trump’s approval before the October elections.
