Ismail Koothari, a member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament, said in an interview with IRIB Young Journalists’ Club on the first of Mehr 1405 (Wednesday) that Masoud Pezeshkian’s status “is much higher than that” to want to face Trump.

The member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament said: “In New York, there will be no meeting with Trump, because Pezeshkian himself knows that such a thing will in no way take place.”

Ismail Koothari also added: “Trump must be prosecuted, and if there is not even a place to prosecute him, then we certainly must take revenge on him.”

The parliament member went on to say that the blow that the “assassination of the Imam Martyred” dealt to the Islamic Republic was very severe.

He added: “But to say that the country has fallen apart—no, that is not the case.”

The member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament also said: “Now there is inflation and high prices, but the country is cohesive, orderly, and is making progress according to a plan.”
