Ismail Baqai, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, said in response to Ukraine’s attack on an Iranian commercial vessel that the supporters of the Ukrainian government must be held accountable for this action. He described the attack as contrary to the UN Charter and “dangerous adventurism,” and added that this action will be met with a response from the Islamic Republic. Baqai also warned that the consequences of this attack could affect different parts of the world, and that “the Caspian Sea littoral countries are also concerned about these developments.”
