🔻IRNA says smoke seen in eastern Tehran is “burning of waste”

IRNA, the state news agency, says the smoke observed in eastern Tehran is caused by a “fire.”

Tehran fire department’s spokesperson told this news agency: “The smoke seen in the sky over eastern Tehran is related to the burning of waste and green space in the Jajrood area.”

The report adds that the fire occurred “in the ravine” and that “firefighters are working to put it out.”
