🔻IRNA reported that Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in a meeting with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s foreign minister, once again emphasized “lack of trust” in the United States and said that the United States “has repeatedly betrayed diplomacy and negotiations.”
Mr. Rezaei, who has recently been appointed to this position by an order from the President of Iran, told the foreign minister of Qatar in the meeting: “We warn that if the United States initiates any wrongdoing against Iran, we will bring down a fate on their military and economic interests that will be recorded in history.”
He added that “America must first take practical steps toward fulfilling Iran’s conditions, and then Iran will take action to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.”
The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council also said that “Iran has helped Qatar in days and under difficult conditions, and it emphasizes friendship and brotherhood between the two countries.” Qatar’s foreign minister met with Masoud Pezeshkian, the president, before meeting with Mohsen Rezaei.
