🔸The IRGC of West Azerbaijan Province, in announcing the assassination of Mawlana Mohammad Nazehati in the province of West Azerbaijan, attributed this action to Israeli-American “separatist” groups.

🔸In this statement, no names of these groups were mentioned, but the purpose of the assassination was described as “a desperate attempt to… eliminate the unity of Shia and Sunni, and also to deprive society of security and peace.”

🔸Mawlana Mohammad Nazehati was one of the well-known figures among Sunnis and served as the imam of the mosque of the village of Chiane in Piranshahr County, in West Azerbaijan Province.

🔸According to reports, he was targeted by motorbike attackers as he was leaving the mosque in the village of Chiane and was killed.

🔸State news agencies have written that Mawlana Nazehati had a long-standing record of cooperation with the Basij of professors, seminary students, and clerics.
