Iranian media reported on Sunday evening an emergency landing of a flight from Istanbul to Tehran by Iran’s Islamic Republic airline Iran Air at Tabriz’s airport.

Citing the public relations manager of Tabriz International Airport, the IRIB news agency reported that an Iran Air Airbus A330 aircraft that was flying from Istanbul, Turkey, to Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport “announced an emergency due to a technical fault and landed at Tabriz Airport.”

According to the Tabriz airport official, all passengers on this aircraft are safe.

Two days ago, passengers of the Istanbul-to-Tehran flight 768 by Iran Air were also faced with a 12-hour delay due to a technical fault. The airline said that the aircraft with the technical problem was an Airbus A330, and Iranian officials stated that the aircraft was repaired in Istanbul after parts were sent from Iran.
