The Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the killing of one of its officers in an "armed attack" on one of its stations in Sistan and Baluchestan.

The public information center of the Police of Sistan and Baluchestan announced on Thursday, the 9th of Mehr, that following an armed attack on one of its stations—an entry and checkpoint station—in the city of Rask, First Sergeant Alireza Sancheli, an officer of law enforcement, was killed.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the security officials of the Republic have not managed to detain any suspects.

According to the state news agency IRNA, Ali Khalil-Abadi, the security and police deputy of the governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, claims that the attack was carried out by "the mercenary terrorist agents of the enemy."
