🔶 Iran’s Ministry of Health: Evidence of the presence of phosphorus exists in the bombardment of Lamerd
Shahin Akhondzadeh, deputy for research and technology at Iran’s Ministry of Health, said that there is evidence indicating that the bombardment of Lamerd in Fars province during the recent war was carried out with “phosphorus-impregnated bombs.”
According to ISNA, Akhondzadeh said on Saturday, 17 Mordad, at a press conference for the 32nd Razi Medical Sciences Research and Technology Festival, that the Ministry of Health has conducted research into the effects of the bombardment of Lamerd.
He added that the study was carried out by researchers from Tehran University of Medical Sciences at the Ministry of Health’s request, and its documentation is ready.
According to the deputy minister, in the bombardment of Lamerd, a small city was targeted and “civilians” were hit by the bombs and “bomblets” that, as he said, were “impregnated with phosphorus.”
