🔸The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Saturday, while confirming Ukraine’s attack on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea, announced that the attack caused an explosion on the ship and the death of one crew member.

🔸Hours earlier, the President of Ukraine announced that the forces of this country had targeted a Russian warship and ships used to transport military cargoes related to Iran in the Caspian Sea.

🔸In its statement, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Ukraine targeted an “Iranian commercial vessel” in the Caspian Sea at dawn on Saturday, the third of Mordad, and condemned the action.

🔸The statement said that one of the sailors on this ship was killed and another person was injured.

🔸Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Ukraine’s action is a “violation of Article 4 of Article 2 of the United Nations Charter and a case of an aggressive act that can further inflame and expand the fires of war.”
